How much does in-home tutoring cost?
Tutoring rates range from $125 to $180 per hour, based on the tutor’s experience and credentials. A $200 onboarding fee covers the initial assessment and personalized plan of action. In-home tutoring in Hoboken is post-paid for general instruction. For test prep and other limited-term engagements, package payments are available.
What subjects and grade levels do you support?
We support students from pre-K through college across all core subjects. For younger learners, we offer foundational skill-building, academic intervention, and enrichment. Middle and high school students come to us for subject-specific support, executive function coaching, and test prep. Our tutors are trained in evidence-based methods and equipped to meet a wide range of learning needs.
How frequently do students receive tutoring services?
It depends on the student’s needs and goals. Some meet twice a week for targeted support, while others meet weekly to stay on track. During crunch times—like test season or report card weeks—sessions may become more frequent. We tailor the schedule to what will be most effective for your child.
What is Ivy Tutor K-8's cancellation policy?
We ask that you provide as much notice as possible when canceling a session. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged in full. Exceptions for illness or emergencies may be granted at our discretion.
