Her background in psychology and neuroscience paired with her dynamic teaching sets her apart as a dedicated tutor. With a commitment to evidence-based methods, she offers a unique approach to learning. Outside of her studies, she enjoys surfing and producing electronic music.

Tyler is a test prep tutor and alumnus of Columbia University, graduating with a dual degree in linguistics and Philosophy with honors. Focusing on SAT and ACT preparation, Tyler seeks to provide students with the conceptual tools needed to not only solve problems, but truly understand them on the way to stellar test scores. Outside of tutoring, Tyler is currently working towards a Phd in philosophy at the City University of New York Graduate Center.

Alex’s life’s focus is teaching math and has taught high school students of all levels for the past 21 years, including AP Calculus and AP Statistics. Alex graduated from Oberlin College with a Bachelor’s in Mathematics. He taught math at the renowned LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts and was Chair of the Mathematics Department at Leman Manhattan Preparatory School. Today, Alex teaches at Nyack High School. When not teaching math, Alex runs his county’s chess club.
