Ivy Tutor sessions are typically 65 minutes. For parents looking for increased benefit, Ivy Tutor recommends adding more sessions rather than increasing their length.
Yes! In the Northern New Jersey and New York City, our tutors can meet at your home or a nearby quiet and secure location. Virtual instruction is also available.
Yes. Parents and students prefer the simplicity of having a one expert tutor guide them across their SAT or ACT journey. We offer single-section tutoring for students who have already mastered the other sections.
Ivy Tutor believes in simulating the test-day process so students get used to the feel of the exam. We also love that FREE and UNLIMITED Practice Tests allow parents see their child’s real-time improvement.
The practice tests are held every Sunday in Bergen County and Manhattan. Testing starts at 8:30 AM, just like the real test. For our out-of-area students, we coordinate free practice tests through other National Test Prep Association members or offer them virtually.
Yes, hourly tutoring is available. Packages offer a more cost-effective way of providing expert test prep.
We prioritize creating the most effective and personalized learning experiences. To achieve this, we leverage a rigorously validated personality questionnaire to match the unique personalities of our students with their ideal tutor. We also take into account students’ preferences.
All Ivy Tutors are engaging and dynamic individuals who have a knack for connecting with their students. If a parent or student feels the match is not to their liking, Ivy Tutor will find a suitable replacement.
All packages come with a three session opt-out period, during which time parents and students can evaluate their tutor and Ivy Tutor’s approach to ensuring test day success.
